Submissions

The Australian College of Educators is committed to representing members’ interest through the development of submissions and policy statements on issues critical to the Education Profession. Policy has a central role in this context. Influencing the Australian education policy agenda and contributing to important national and international discussions in this policy space is one of the most important aspects of ACE work.

ACE engagement in the policy debate is member-driven: The College has a variety of mechanisms through which policy positions and submissions are developed including the ACE Policy Committee, direct member engagement, online forums and in person events.

A Compelling Message to Australian Educators

In March of 2018, the Australian College of Educators  joined with a group of national peak education associations chaired by internationally renowned educator, Anthony Mackay AM to develop A Compelling Message to Australian Educators. The Statement focusses on the achievements in the past 10 years since the release of the Melbourne Declaration and highlights the need for further work lead by the education profession for the education profession to be carried out in the context of the 21st century environment we are now all working and living in.

A copy of the statement has been sent to all Director General’s and Secretaries of Education of the Commonwealth, States and Territories and the National Executive Directors of NCIS & NCEC.
