The Australian College of Educators (Illawarra/South Coast Regional Group) hosts the ACE Recognition Awards

Event Details

The Australian College of Educators (Illawarra/South Coast Regional Group) hosts the ACE Recognition Awards, with guest speaker Gai Lindsay.

Inspired by World Teachers’ Day celebrations, they provide an opportunity to acknowledge any teacher, parent volunteer or community member who has made an ongoing contribution to education in the following educational settings:

  • School
  • TAFE/RTO
  • University
  • Early Childhood Centre

The ACE Recognition Awards differ from an achievement award such as the Quality Teacher Awards or Director General’s Awards. The focus of the awards is to recognise some of the “intangible” aspects of education such as long-term contribution to teaching or an activity to support the respective educational settings eg. a Rock Eisteddfod or Southern Stars team, a teacher from the stated educational institutions, or a parent volunteer.

You can nominate any teacher, parent helper or community member who has made an ongoing contribution to education and appropriately completed nominations will be taken from all stakeholders in your sector. The event is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge your staff and volunteers.  Refreshments and snacks will be served.
