Learning & Leadership in Schools

The newly re-established Peel Namoi regional group is delighted to announce their first event of the year. Professor Stephen Dinham and Dr Catherine Scott will be delivering a presentation on Learning and Leadership in Schools.

The presentation will be followed by open discussions focusing on the growth of ACE in the New England and Peel Namoi regions, and their involvement and relationships with local education institutions.

Professor Stephen Dinham OAM, PhD

Professor Dinham is Associate Dean and Professor of Instructional Leadership at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, University of Melbourne. He has taught and conducted research at a number of universities, resulting in over 340 publications to his name. Professor Dinham has also conducted a number of consultancies with both national and international educational bodies.

Dr Catherine Scott

Dr Scott has over 20 years research and teaching experience in the fields of education and psychology. She taught art and technics in high schools and primary schools before training as a school psychologist. She went on to complete a PhD in psychology at Macquarie University and has taught psychology and research methods to a variety of students at the undergraduate and graduate levels to education students at a number of universities, including including the University of New England and the University of Melbourne. Catherine was state president of the Victorian branch of the Australian College of Educators and served as chair of the ACE national council and member of the ACE Board.
