Professional Learning with Louise Stoll: Middle Leaders as Change Catalysts

Thursday 24th May 2018

Professional Learning Event

Are you a catalyst for change?

Do you want to maximise your impact as a middle or teacher leader?

LEARN… PRACTICE… EVALUATE with like-minded educators from across the State.

ACE NSW is proud to deliver the first of our new professional learning events specifically designed to facilitate collaboration, learning, practice and critical assessment across the education network.

Middle Leaders as Change Catalysts offers educators an opportunity to join in the LEARN… PRACTICE… EVALUATE program, and to be part of ACE Learning Communities across the State.

The program commences with a full day workshop conducted by internationally respected educator, Professor Louise Stoll. The targeted workshop will enable direct interaction and collaboration with peers from across all areas of the education profession.

Following the face-to-face workshop, participants are invited to undertake a series of post learning coaching sessions, led by Louise. These one hour on-line sessions will be scheduled throughout the remainder of the year. Further details will be announced shortly.

Further to this, ACE will be facilitating regular web networking events, a dedicated Facebook group and twitter discussion sessions to enable participants to share information, learnings and gather feedback and support.

This is a great opportunity to be part of the ACE Professional Learning Community and gain valuable PD hours.

The ACE Fellows & Members dinner will be held at the same venue, following the workshop.

The Workshop

Preparing students for their future in today’s world presents teachers with new challenges. All teachers play a major role in enhancing improvement and promoting innovation within the education setting.

Middle leaders including teacher leaders are a key link between the School Executive staff and teachers and are well placed to drive enhancements and innovation.

This interactive one-day workshop is based on several research and R & D projects and explores what it means to be a change catalyst.

Participants will have the opportunity to use tools developed from a practical English based project that explored the opportunities and effectiveness of middle leaders as change catalysts.

Change isn’t easy – but as a true catalyst this workshop will equip you with practical tools and strategies to take charge of change!
